My dad is "in my head"

I heard my mom and dad talking tonight. My mom told my dad that she is going to miss me so much when she goes to Denver for the whole week next week. She asked my dad if he could take care of the blog and upload pictures for her to see. She wants to check the blog from Denver so she can see what I am doing. My dad paused for a minute when she asked and my mom told him..."you don't have to write..just do the pictures for me." My dad then said "I can do pictures and write..better than you...I am in Layla's head." My mom asked my dad what that meant and my dad said that him and I think the same. I think he is right. I guess I will see when my mom leaves.

Today I screamed all day long. I am getting louder and louder. I like to scream and look at people to see if they notice. I screamed at my daddy when he got home from work and he smiled at me...so I kept doing it.

I also fed my mommy and daddy Cheerios during my dinner tonight. I am getting really good at this!

Sunday

Last night we went to dinner with some of mom and dad's friends. There was a two week old baby there and I felt so big when I looked at her!




Today I woke up with dad and after he fed me breakfast we hung out in my room. My dad bought me a new BOB stroller so he can run with me. He put me in that and we walked in circles around outside the house. I really like the stroller and I can't wait to go running with my dad!

Guess what...I am starting to get curls! Look at the curl on the right side of my head!





My mom and I went to lunch and shopping with my grandma today. My grandma would take me by the door of the stores and I would scream at people walking by. I am starting to talk a lot more lately and have noticed that if I yell at people I get their attention. It is so much fun!

We went back to my grandparents house so I could spend some time with my grand poo.
My mom showed my grandparents how I can play peek a boo and put a blanket over my head all by myself while I play...and I also showed them how I feed my mom Cheerios. I tried to feed my grandpoo one too.

I have been making a lot of fart noises with my mouth. This is a picture of me making one of my noises!

Just Hanging out

Last night I got to go to dinner with my mom, dad, and grandparents. I am usually quiet at dinner but since my grand poo was there I was screaming at the table and saying babababa all through dinner. I got to go home with my grandparents and my grand poo sat in the back with me and I talked to him a lot and then fell asleep half way home.

I had a great time with my grandparents. My mom came to get me and took me to the park with Nana. They put me in a swing and tried to push me. It was ok at first but then I didn't want any more of that. There were all of these kids running around-one little boy had blue stuff all over his mouth...I just could not stop staring. Then there was this lady who looked like a man laying on a blanket with a dog and I wanted to watch her too. She yelled at her kids and said she was working but I didn't see any work things with her...?? It was all so interesting that I just wanted to hang in the front of the swing and watch.

Big Head

My mom says that I have a big head like my daddy. My dad tells my mom not to buy him hats because his head is so big that they don't fit in them. Well guess what...sometimes my shirts get stuck over my head because my head is so big that they won't fit...

I have been really cranky lately. My mom and Laura were talking today about how hard it is now to change my diapers and to change my clothes because I start crying like crazy whenever they try to do it. I also try to sit up on the changing table while I am crying and try to pull all of the wipes out of the wipe warmer and if my mom takes them away from me I throw a fit! Did I tell you that I pulled a picture right off of the wall the other day too? I think I did but if I didn't tell you...isn't that cool!?

I have a rash on my cheeks today. I hope it gets better tomorrow.

I am not a princess

I started something new with my mom. I feed her my Cheerios. My mom feeds me a Cheerio-then I smile and put one in her mouth. This is so fun-we did it over and over.

Aunt Heather gave me a princess tent. Laura put it up today and my dad told my mom to come see me because I was crawling in it. My mom came home from work and put it up in the living room but I wasn't really into it. As you can see--my dad was really tempting but it wasn't enough!

I feed the dogs!

Happy New Years!

My mom and dad got me a babysitter while they went out for New Years. Man-it looks like Uncle Whitney and Carolyn sure can dance. Maybe they will teach me one day?
