I came home from work today and everything was great. Layla was jumping in her Jumparoo --laughing and having a good time. I changed her into her teddy bear costume and we were ready to trick or treat. We really just wanted to take her around to a few houses in the neighborhood so we could get some cute pictures.
We went to our first house on our street and as soon as the lady opened the door Layla started crying...SCREAMING. LOL. It was a little crazy and not like her....and as soon as we walked away from the door she was ok.
We went to three more houses and she cried every time. I didn't expect that reaction because when she was in Hawaii she smiled at anyone that would look at her. I picked her up and walked with her the rest of the way home. We went to one last house (our next door neighbors) and she didn't cry but had a VERY serious face...there was no smiling! LOL. Don was not having a great time and either was Layla-so we came home.
So after all of that excitment we came home and I fed her some chicken and gravy which was the highlight of the night for her. She has started grunting when she wants more food...and crying. It is so funny. I then gave her a bottle and she was gone for the night.

Playing with her new toys.
We bought Layla some new toys this weekend. She loves them! I showed her how to pull a blue handle on the bubble gum machine (a ball comes out when you pull it) and now she can do it herself. I caught her on camera doing it. :)
Layla is trying to pull herself up--Now I am REALLY in trouble!
I need something to put Layla in. I think I am going to have to go buy a pack and play or a gate. I thought I was so smart by putting her in her old co sleeper and letting her watch tv for a while until I noticed that when the dogs came in and started playing---layla tried to pull herself up and stand. NOT GOOD! So-Tonight I am going to have to have Don adjust her crib to the lower position and I took her bumpers and mobile off! This is all so sad. I am glad she is moving right along (quite fast!) but I am also sad because she is growing so fast and she doesn't seem like a baby anymore! I loved her bumpers because they were pretty. Now Layla is going to have to sleep low to the ground so she does not try to stand up and fall out!
I caught her in action trying to stand up and took a video and some pictures of it.
Heather-Bouji loves the sheep seat you sent Layla! I almost died when I looked down and saw her sitting on it!

The Whistle Game
Layla and I have this game we made up. I whistle and look around above her head for a little bit and then I stop and smile and look at her. She loves it! I am glad I finally caught it on camera.

My little Teddy Bear
Layla's Halloween costume still fits. Thank goodness! My baby better have a costume to wear! She actually has two...so she can choose. I think Don likes the teddy bear-I like both. She wore her cat costume in her Halloween pictures I had taken. It was so much fun putting her in her costume that we wanted to take pictures with her.
The video I uploaded is of Layla and Don playing. I heard her laughing really hard in the other room and when I looked this is what they were doing. I didn't get the best part of it because when she notices the silver camera she completely stops!
