My grandpa sent me some new books and finger puppets today. Thank you Grandpa Don 1. Finger puppets are my favorite. I love to play the take away game with them with my mom and dad!

Reading

Look at what Laura dressed me in today. I was all dressed up with no where to go! Gigi gave me these shoes for Christmas (my mommy loves them) ...but they won't stay on my feet because I love to play with them.

I have been giving my mom and dad a hard time each night lately. They think I am teething again..but they are not sure.

I learned something new. When my mom brushes my teeth-I used to smile at myself in the mirror and just let her rub on my gums. Now...I take a quick taste of the yummy banana flavored toothpaste and then back up so she can't rub my gums anymore.

This is a video of my daddy reading to me. I get a little distracted when my favorite tv show comes on-American Idol. I just stare at the screen when those people are singing on TV!

Going for a ride

The maids came yesterday so Laura took me on a little ride outside.

Gray Hair

I really missed Laura. I didn't realize it until I saw her this morning. I had a big smile on my face all morning. Laura told mommy that she thinks I was pointing to different things in my room ..trying to tell her what they were.

Mommy got home from work today and we went on a little walk across the street to take a March of Dimes check to our neighbors house. As soon as Mrs. Timmons opened the door I cried at the top of my lungs. Mommy thinks I am scared of gray hair because she says Mrs. Timmons is really sweet!

The Dallas Aquarium

Today mommy and daddy took me to the Dallas World Aquarium. We had lunch there...it was so much fun...I threw all of my things on the floor over and over and I think the waitress really liked me.

I saw monkeys, birds, turtles, and all kinds of fish. A turtle came up to the window and scared me...I cried but I got over that pretty fast. My mommy picked out a monkey that I liked in the shop and daddy bought it for me. Every time I look at the monkey and it makes a monkey sound-I laugh. It is hanging on my crib now.

After the aquarium we came home. My mommy started to clean out my toys and put some in a big box that she said that I outgrew. Do you know what I did...I pulled most of those toys out of that big box and started playing with them. I think I confused her because she saved most of the ones I started playing with!

Daddy fed me my dinner tonight. I had Gerber Turkey and vegetables and I loved it. I must have been really hungry because mommy and daddy said I have never opened my mouth that wide before. Daddy then fed me a bottle because I was crying a lot...and I am about to fall asleep with my daddy as I type!

Busy day...Nighty night!

P.S.-Aunt Heather-do you like my sweater? It is my favorite.

P.S.S.-Mommy wanted me to tell you that she knows she put my ponytails on my head too close together and they look like horns. I won't let her do my hair very often-I cry every time she touches it...so she had to keep them in for the day!

Dancing

Guess what? My new thing I started doing this week is dancing. It is so much fun. When a song comes on I wiggle my legs and put my arms above my head and wave them back and forth. I really feel the beat...my favorite song to dance to is BINGO!

I have a big secret to tell. Mommy found a place where she can order a Wiggles DVD and the Wiggles guys will say my name in the DVD over and over .... I can't wait to get it. The secret is that she got Cosmo one too....It should get there in 4 weeks! We hope he likes it!

Sleeping on daddy

I fell asleep on daddy Wednesday night. My day was just so exciting...

Daddy Day Care

Laura called in again today and said that she couldn't come take care of me because her husband is still sick and had to go back to the dr. He has a fever above 100. Since my mommy stayed home with me yesterday... today my daddy stayed with me.

My mom had to come home from work to get her camera and she walked in the front door and me and my daddy were both on the couch with toys all around us with big smiles on our faces...mommy said "is this daddy day care?" I also had a big fake lipstick on my lap that goes with the elmo purse my mommy bought me. I had a great time with my daddy. He is really fun.

My mommy came home from work today and had to give me a bath and then take me back to my grandma and grand poos house. Two days in one week..how did I get so lucky? I overheard my mommy saying that since she didn't know if Laura will make it tomorrow or not and since her husband has a high temperature...maybe it would be better if someone else looked after me because my mommy and daddy can't miss any more work. My mom said she was so lucky that my grandma is in town.

When I got to my grandparents house...it was so exciting. They tried to get me to go to sleep and it took a record of about 2 hours. They almost had me but I wasn't having it! I would look over and my grand poo would be smiling at me and then I would start laughing and my mommy would get mad...because we would have to start over again. My grand poo is so funny and I love to laugh at him. I finally fell asleep at 9:00 after rolling around for about an hour. I can't wait to wake up and play with my grand poo again!

Playing with toys and golf clubs

We have a Laura update-she called tonight and told my daddy that everything is ok. We were really worried so that is good news to hear.

Today I played with all of my toys-and do I have a lot! These are pictures of me in my coupe. I have two different cars...this is the one with the top. It is for big girls but I think I might fit in it soon!

The video is of me doing something my dad taught me the other day. He bought me these golf clubs for Christmas. He taught me how to pull a lever down to get a ball...and my mom caught me doing it today. I know he will be so proud when he sees this tomorrow!

Freaking my mom out

Guess what I have been doing today? Totally freaking my mom out and getting into everything. She has made LOTS of videos and taken MANY pictures of this today. I think my daddy is going to be really shocked by it. It has been a fun day! Maybe my parents will baby proof the house after all of this evidence! Laura had to leave today and my mom had to take a personal day because Laura's husband is in the emergency room. We hope he is ok. We will find out more tonight.

Yesterday

Hi-this is Layla again. I am sorry it has been a while. I have been really busy. My mom came home from work yesterday and she found me in my tights with no pants on. It was really cool because while Laura was washing the windows in the front of the house I was in my pink car looking out the window and I saw mommy drive up. I was not smiling but as soon as I saw her I had a big smile on my face. Look at my new teeth in my pictures. After mommy got home we had a photo session.
