Bye Bye Layla!

I don't have any pictures to share but I have a funny story. Tonight I found out how to get the top to my lego table off. I took this large square red plastic top off, I put it on the floor, sat on it, and started saying "Bye Bye!"

Daddy immediately knew what I was doing-it took mommy a minute! I was pretending I was at swimming lessons because at the end I sit on the big square float, turn in cirles, all while the group sings "Bye Bye Layla, Bye Bye Layla, Bye Bye Layla, We are glad you came to swim!" I have shown this to you on my videos.

Anyway-I had fun playing with Laura today. We threw balls down the stairs and played all day long. I ate dinner tonight. My favorite thing to eat is my mommy's lasagna. I say mmmmm when she gives it to me and clap after each bite!

Sunday

Mommy saw this ballerina outfit and just could not resist. I put it on this morning and ran around the house.

In the last picture I am wearing my first pair of real tennis shoes.

Today we went to lunch and then looking at houses. I was such a good girl and was happy all day. When we returned home mommy put my swim suit on me and we played in the fountain outside. After playing in the fountain I played in my mommy and dada's bathtub. Mommy dressed me and I ate dinner. After dinner I played some more and then fell fast asleep. Mommy is sad that the weekend is over. She had 3 days in a row with me and we had so much fun together.

And today!

This morning I had another swim lesson at Emler. The best part of the swim lesson was that my nana came to watch! I smiled through the entire class like always-while other kids screamed and cried.

Dada put together my lego table and I had a lot of fun today playing at it.

I took my nap and woke up after about an hour. Dada came to get me and I was crying a lot. He took me into the living room and I went right back to sleep on him for another hour. I have been sleeping a lot lately, cranky, and drooling ... I wish these teeth would just come in!

This Friday

Mommy had to go out of town this week to Shreveport for work. She was gone Tuesday and Wednesday. When mommy came home Wednesday at 6:30 I was already asleep. Going to sleep at 6:30 has never happened so mommy was a little concerned about me. Dada told mommy that I fell asleep during dinner-which made her even more worried. Mommy tried to wake me up but I was so tired that it did not work.

Mommy had to take off work on Friday because Laura had a doctor appointment to go to. We had a great time hanging out. Nana came by and babysat me while mommy and daddy went to dinner and to a concert. I was being really fussy during dinner but as soon as nana gave me a bath I forgot all about my mommy and dada. Nana and I read books and played for a while until I fell asleep.

Saturday & Sunday, June 19th & 20th - Hanging out with Damian and Sharia

On Saturday June 19th-We went to have dinner with Damian and Sharia at Vaquero. I had the best macaroni and cheese and Chicken ever. I think I found my new favorite restaurant. I hope I get to go back and see them soon!

On Saturday we went to lunch with Damian and Sharia again. Two days in a row-this has been great! After lunch mommy, dada, Damian and I went to the boat show. I had so much fun walking around and looking at all of the boats. Dada got really excited and started running with the bugaboo over to this area where there was live wakeboarding. Dada put me on his shoulders and I would clap every time someone did a trick. As you can see I really liked this-I even turned around to see when dada wasn't looking anymore-look at the picture below!




After the boat show mommy, dada, Damian, and I went to the Nasher Sculpture Center downtown. It was really hot outside so we didn't stay very long. Dada and I posed for pictures outside.






We then went home and mommy made me dinner. Sharia came to pick up Damian and she had Chubby in the car with her. I was so excited to see Chubby again. When Damian, Sharia, and Chubby drove away I cried! I was so sad to see them go.

Friday, July 18th- Pool Party

I have been a big blog slacker. Sorry for that. I am going to try to catch up tonight.

So let's go back a week-to Friday, July 18th. Mommy and dada took me to a pool party/cook out. There was a dunking booth and lots of kids there. I love going to the pool. I cried when I had to leave.

The best nanny of all!

I have the best nanny in the world. She is so much fun. Today we made this tent in the living room. Mommy walked through and saw and took a picture. That is Laura, my nanny, inside the tent with me.

Rainy Day

Mommy, Dada and I went to dinner tonight. It rained and I pointed to the water on the ground and said Awa to every puddle that we passed. When we came back home mommy put my rain boots on and we went outside to splash around.







After that-mommy put some of my hats on me. I saw myself in the mirror in my white flower hat and gave myself a kiss. Aunt Heather sent me the flower hat. Isn't it cute!? I wore that hat and mommy chased me around using her monster voice playing the tickle monster. I had so much fun that I started using the monster voice too. I would run from her making the monster sounds.

In one of these pictures you see me playing with necklaces. I love necklaces-and wear them all of the time. Anything I can put around my neck I will. Sometimes I get stuck in my necklaces ...my leg will get caught and mommy has to come untangle me. That isn't so much fun.






I am not hanging out with my friend in the neighborhood anymore. Laura told mommy that her nanny friend doesn't work there anymore so I don't play with my friend at the park with her. Too bad. Maybe I will meet someone new soon.

Doctor Appointment

I had a doctor appointment on Monday. These are my new measurements. The doctor said I am still growing like a weed.

Head 18 3/4-90%

Do you like my new Polo shoes? Mommy bought these for me a few months ago and they never fit..but they do now!

It rained yesterday. This is me looking out the window. As I looked out I said Awa which means water in Spanish to me.
