Layla Found a Friend
Layla found a new friend in the mirror today.

I aways feel like......somebody's watching me...
Remember that song? Well...I live it! No matter where I go...CLICKITY CLACK CLICKITY CLACK CLICKITY CLACK...is all I hear. It doesn't matter where I go...the sound always follows. I have NO ALONE TIME. It is just me, Layla, and my two shadows that follow me around...24-7. It helps when Don gets home from work...because they have two people to choose between so after 6:00 it isn't ALWAYS me.
By the way...For those of you that do not know me that well..I am quite the inventor and I just had an amazing idea. I am BRILLIANT! I can just put a nanny cam on Caymus's head. Just strap it right on top. I won't have to worry about not getting certain shots or only pointing the camera in one direction. I will have footage all day long wherever they go! In fact-I won't need multiple cameras ...All I need is ONE.
Do you want to know what Layla and I did all day yesterday? Just ask Caymus and Beauji. I cleaned out my closet. I knew I had to do it before I go back to work. This was not an easy thing to do. I would put Layla in her bouncer and she would cry because she is now at the stage where she wants to be held all of the time. She will cry her little eyes out and as soon as I pick her up-BAM-she is wide eyed with no tears. The problem was when she finally fell asleep. I put her in her cosleeper in the bedroom. Every time I would walk by her to take my clothes upstairs...It was the Dog Train coming through which would wake her up. So not only can I not get anything done while I am at home because Layla wants to be held 24-7....when she finally falls asleep she wakes up again when the dog train comes through.

Is that Sean Preston? No-It's Layla!
I just returned from my parents house. My dad put the car seat in my car today for my trip this week with Heather and Cosmo. My car feels like the baby transportation service. LOL. I am excited about our trip. I am taking my computer so that we can take a lot of pictures and videos and I will download them while we are gone.
Heather is coming in from LA on Thursday. We are leaving Friday to go to Lake Jackson to visit my grandmother. Saturday we are going from Lake Jackson to Navasota to see my grandfather. Sunday we are driving back to Dallas and Heather will fly back to LA on Monday.
Layla and Cosmo have not met yet so I am really excited to see how they react to eachother.
I will take some pictures and videos of Layla today to add to the blog. Right now Layla is sleeping in her swing. She gets very tired when she comes home from seeing her grandpa because he has her stand up on him a lot and she laughs the entire time.
Does the head slumped over seem familiar?? LOL

Dangling Chicken Legs-Layla and her car
I bought Layla a walker because she is trying to stand up so much. Well...she is not big enough for it yet. I think she likes hanging in it though! Our living room is full of baby toys-the swing, bouncer, bumbo, the walker, and the jumper-this is definitely Layla's house we are living in!
The pets love Layla. All of them lick her (Kizzy, Caymus, and Beauji) except
Kabookie. This is a video of Beauji licking Layla.

Never Ending Bottles
Did I mention that I hate cleaning bottles? Somehow it has become my job. No matter what is going on---there is always this never ending pile of bottles in the sink waiting for me to clean. I just returned from getting a manicure/pedicure today and there they are....waiting for me.
I can complain about it all day but sometimes you have to pick and choose your battles..and the truth is ...Don is an amazing father and I am really lucky that he is.
Hold on a minute-Layla has something to say. She is talking to you Don1. She is telling on us for posting the bathtime pictures.
Her first experience with the pool.
